JOB_CODE_LKUP

Provides code descriptions for values of JOB_CD, as well as Salary Grade (a field which is blank in cases where multiple Salary Grades are associated with a value of JOB_CD); Budget Type; and CTO Code. Note that job codes that can be assocated with multiple grades will be represented by multiple rows (i.e., SAL_GRADE is a key field in this lookup view).

Contains fields:
EFF_STATUS

A code describing the effective status of the code (or other element) described by a row of Data Warehouse data. "A" if this row is active; "I" if row is inactive.

JOB_CODE

The code identifying the job (classification) described by this row of data.

SAL_GRADE

Salary Grade associated with the job described by this row of data.

The grade associated with the job described in this row of lookup table data. A key field in this table (i.e., multiple rows for a single job can occur in this table when the job can be associated with multiple salary grades).

BUDGET_TYPE

Designation as a job that may be paid out of permanent, state-budget funds ("B"), or not ("N").

Budgetable jobs may -- but need not -- carry positive values in the field BUDGETED_FTE on the Earnings Distribution table; non-budgetable jobs may not.

CTO_CD

The CTO ("Class Title Outline") code or OSC ("Occupational Subgroup Code) associated with the job described by a row of data.

In Workforce Summary reports, this is the CTO code or OSC on which a row's data is summarized.

JOB_CODE_DESC

The name of the job code described by a row of data.

EFF_DT

The effective date of this row of data. "Effective date" in PeopleSoft data sets means "the date this row of data took effect."

SETID

A key field internal to PeopleSoft HRMS, useful if the PeopleSoft installation tracks data for multiple organizations. At UC Berkeley, as of January 2004, all values of SETID are the same.
